Tear And Eat Breakfast Bread
Here is a simple yet outrageous recipe. It is a sweet, sticky, gooey pastry made from little balls of dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and baked together in a bundt pan. Try it for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Or dinner. Since you tear the bread piece by piece ? to eat itis called monkey bread, like how little monkeys pick at their food.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted melted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 3/4 pounds Yeast Dough
How To:
Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with melted butter generously and set aside. In medium bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar mixture into prepared Bundt pan. Take big walnut size pieces from dough and roll into balls. Coat in melted butter, roll in sugar mixture, and place in prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap, and let stand in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
If you like you can add 2 tbsps crushed walnuts and raisins among the dough pieces while arranging in pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wait until dough has doubled in size, place in oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in pan 15 minutes. Invert onto serving plate, and let cool 20 minutes more.
Bon Apetit!
