Oya's Cuisine Wins An Award

The third year of Boomerang awards was organized on the 5th of December, at Babylon. The contest boasting over 1700 applicants and more than 45 thousand sms was concluded after 24 jury members, each an expert in his/her field, reviewed each and every blog on the short listed 10 sites/blogs, and named the winning three.

Prizes were given under seven categories: the  most stylish blog, the most diligent blog, IGaranti, most social blog, best local blog, most professional blog, most informed blog and special jury award.

Oya?s Cuisine was short listed in the category of the most stylish blog and won the  trophy and the award being the best food blog. The award ceremony at the Babylon started with a speech by Erhan Acar, executive board member in charge of content and community of Hürriyet Newspaper.

He welcomed the jury members, bloggers, media and guests. He then explained the increasing importance of blogs and bloggers in our lives. He pointed out that participation in Boomerang awards was rising every year, and that in the third contest this year a total of 1700 blogs was covered.

All finalists were invited to the stage. Awards were given to first runners and finalists with surprise presents from Singer, So Chic, Sony Music, Ciragan Palace Kempenski, Usla and Dogan Books.

I sincerely thank for the efforts of everyone involved in the Third Boomerang Awards and the organization of the Awards ceremony. I was very proud to be a finalist in the most stylish category. I congratulate all the winners.
